What better way to break into patio season then a pitcher of sangria with friends. This Spanish fruit and wine punch is colorful and refreshingly alive with flavor. Traditionally made with red table wine it is a cocktail that is open to every ones creative side.

Sangria originated from Spain and Portugal as a way to use left over wine from the night before. We ask why there would every be left over wine? Nevertheless this ingenious idea has inspired countless afternoons out in the sun. There are many hot spots around our fair globe you can be seen sipping this “afternoon” treat.

Nowhere in world has this refreshing cocktail be more diversified then in the city of Boston. The patios in Boston boast an incredible selection of unique Sangria recipes alive with colors and flair. By using red wine, white, rose, or sparkling  you can appeal to any pallet.

 

 

 

Sparking wine sangria

Ingredients:

-1 bottle of sparkling wine, Red wine,

– 1/2 L of orange juice

-3oz Triple sec

– 1 orange, 1 lemon, 1 lime, cut into slices

– A handful of strawberries, blue berries, and raspberries.

-2Tbl of sugra

– ice

– 1 large pitcher with stirring spoon

Combine all the ingredients into a large pitcher and serve in wine glasses adding some fruit garnish into each glass.

Rose’ wine sangria

Ingredients:

-1 bottle of Rose’ wine

-1/2L of Lemonade

-3oz Triple sec

-1 can of sprite

– 1 orange, 1 lemon, 1 lime, cut into slices

– A handful of strawberries, blue berries, and raspberries.

-2Tbl of sugra

– ice

– 1 large pitcher with stirring spoon

Combine all the ingredients into a large pitcher and serve in wine glasses adding some fruit garnish into each glass.

White wine sangria

Ingredients:

-1 bottle of white wine

– 1/2 L of lemonade

-3oz Triple sec

-1 can of sprite

– 1 orange, 1 lemon, 1 lime, cut into slices

– A handful of strawberries, blue berries, and raspberries.

– ice

– 1 large pitcher with stirring spoon
