Lee’s Restaurant sets itself apart from the rest
This Asian fusion restaurant is located in the heart of Toronto’s trendy King west neighborhood. Chef Susur Lee has brought his years of experience to this truly creative restaurant. Lee’s menu incorporates fusion cooking in a modern Asian inspired dining room and lounge. Its unique, and one of a kind flavours offers a tantalizing glimpse into the creative passion Chef Susur Lee.
Chef Susur Lee comes from a family of six children and continues to be influenced by his large family upbringing and his Hong Kong heritage. His career started with an apprenticeship at the world-renowned Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong. The young Susur Lee went on to make an impression to say the least. He became the second Canadian Chef to compete on The Iron Chef only to tie Chef Bobby Flay. His personal love for food and his family’s heritage is expressed flawlessly in his concept of Lee’s Restaurant.
One of the most popular items on the menu is the Singaporean Slaw, assembled at the dinner table the guest is introduced to a fusion Asian dish with true French table service. We highly recommend this dish paired with two or three fresh fish items and any one of the sake’s to match.
One of Lee’s lounge distinctive signature cocktails is the Saketini made with Moonstone Plum Sake, Living Jewel Junmai, Daiginjo Sake, Belvedere Vodka, Yuzu, and garnished with Flower petals. Sake is definitely an acquired taste so be warned this cocktail is no exception. If you haven’t developed a pallet for sake they do offer a blood orange mimosa or perhaps a mango mojito.
By offering unique dishes, and exquisite service Lee’s restaurant sets itself above the rest. Laine Valin
